Medical Device Engineering Jobs at PROCEPT BioRobotics
PROCEPT BioRobotics launched the first and only image-guided, heat-free robotic therapy for urology. Our AQUABEAM® Robotic System delivers Aquablation therapy, the first FDA-cleared, automated surgical robot for the treatment of lower urinary tract symptoms due to benign prostatic hyperplasia. Aquablation therapy combines real-time, multi-dimensional imaging, automated robotics, and heat-free waterjet ablation for targeted, controlled, and immediate removal of prostate tissue. Aquablation therapy offers predictable and reproducible outcomes, independent of prostate anatomy, prostate size, or surgeon experience.

Join a Growing Team of Medical Device Engineers
PRCT’s surgical robot uses imaging, mechanical, and electrical systems developed by the best medical device engineers in the industry. As we plan our move from Redwood City to San Jose, CA, we are looking to grow our team of educated, innovative problem solvers. All positions require an engineering degree, familiarity and experience with the appropriate tools and systems, and great communication skills. We value an attention to detail, enthusiasm, teamwork, leadership, and an abiding desire to improve patient care.
Our electrical engineers work with suppliers, R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain departments to identify and solve problems, analyze electrical components, improve capacity, and mitigate risk. They also work on new features and development, by refining the design of existing products, owning the electrical design of future generation products and transferring design to manufacturing.
Our Quality engineers come from a variety of engineering backgrounds and work closely with other teams to handle complaints, support corrective and preventive action, perform failure analysis testing, and ensure manufacturability, serviceability, testability, reliability, and conformance to requirements. They contribute directly to incoming and in-process quality control by designing, implementing, and sustaining robust and scalable product quality solutions.
PROCEPT BioRobotics team of mechanical engineers lead the design and development of surgical tools and sub systems which will define the future of robotic surgery. They design, integrate and test solutions in a fast-paced environment to create robust, scalable assembly processes that are cost efficient and ready for high volume production, manage supplier changes, and improve reliability and efficiency.
PROCEPT BioRobotics systems rely on sophisticated software and firmware that is constantly being developed and improved upon. Our software engineers collaborate with other engineering disciplines and across Quality and Operations teams to build, test, and deploy software and firmware.
